The blue-lit button has 4 contacts but is just a SPST momentary switch. Use a non-contact tester to trace the path of power. There are three other power controls: the black on/off rocker switch on the back, the bin-in sensor and the paper sensor. If the unit is not coming on, chances are the blue-lit button has failed. My mistake was letting some plastic, from the drilling, fall in the screw holes. For my spl-727mm there are 6 screws accessible through holes that are visible with it upside down and the tray removed, I drilled 6 holes on the bottom so a long phillips screwdriver would reach the screws.
